How to Build a Successful MVP
May 24, 2024
Building a successful MVP requires discipline — resisting features, launching before the product feels ready, and making hard decisions based on data. Start with a clearly articulated, falsifiable hypothesis. Build for your ideal customer profile, not for everyone. Launch quickly, but do not launch garbage — quality in the features you include is essential.
After launch, your job is to learn, not build. Spend at least two to four weeks focused entirely on measurement and user conversations. Watch how users interact, interview both activated and non-activated users, and analyze funnel data. These insights will reshape your roadmap more than any amount of pre-launch planning.
